Apartmány Star Lipno

The first barrier-free trail of its kind in the Czech Republic, sensitively integrated into the landscape around Lipno reservoir. It culminates in a 40-metre observation tower with views of the Alps, the Šumava, and the lake, and a 52-metre slide for the daring.

An approximately 7.3 km route along wooden boardwalks and forest paths around the Olšina pond, leading visitors through wetlands, peat bogs, and mixed forests. The area was inaccessible for decades – it only opened to the public in 2016.

One of the most beautiful castle complexes in Central Europe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It offers enchanting interiors, a chateau garden, and views of the Vltava meander.

Plešné Lake lies on the slope of Plechý – the highest mountain of the Czech part of the Šumava – at an altitude of 1,089 m, and is the widest glacial lake of the Czech Šumava. The trip to the lake and the summit is among the most beautiful in the whole region.

The family Kynutá Buchta bistro offers homemade cakes, pastries, and speciality coffee, as well as regional and house-made products – all in Horní Planá.

A modern patisserie with original desserts inspired by Czech tradition – the only one of its kind at Lipno. Come and taste, and watch the preparation itself.

At the Stodola restaurant with its open kitchen you can taste local Šumava specialities. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the basis of our honest menu, carefully prepared for you by our chef Michal Hruda.

An exciting yet safe fun descent 1,500 m long that children and complete beginners can manage. The bike park offers views of the entire reservoir and the Šumava forests.

The area around Lipno offers dozens of routes for walkers and cyclists of all levels – from easy family trips along the lake to more demanding Šumava hikes.

Two interwoven bobsled tracks – a trough track with 21 bends and 2 tunnels, and a mountain track with almost 360° bends and a unique view of Lipno reservoir.
