Dear guests, this is exactly the moment all that packing effort was for. The mountains are waiting, the sauna is heating up, and we're so glad that out of the whole country (or beyond) you chose us.
This book will help you get oriented — from the Wi-Fi password to where to park your skis/bike. Read it — it'll save you at least one phone call. 📱

Tip: The password is the same for the whole house, so you don't need to type it into every device separately.
Getting around the property & entrances 🚪
The main building entrance is open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Outside these hours, you can use the night entrances.
The whole property runs unstaffed, using access codes. The same code you received after check-in is also used for:
- entering your apartment
- entering the apartment corridor
- the ski room
- night entrances to the building
TV 📺
A smart TV is available in the apartment.
Heating 🌞
The whole property has central electric underfloor heating. It's heated during the main heating season.
Sauna and fitness — your bonus, included in the price 🧘🏻♀️
A private sauna and fitness area await you on the property, included in your booking.
The fitness room is on the 1st floor, to the left of the elevator. Open daily 8:00 AM–9:00 PM. It's a cozier space, ideal for relaxed workouts for around 5 people.
The sauna is on the 2nd floor, to the left of the elevator. Open daily 9:00 AM–9:00 PM. Capacity is up to 6 people for comfortable, undisturbed relaxation. The sauna is switched on before 9:00 AM to heat up and turned off at 9:00 PM.
Sheets and towels are available by the sauna — please drop them in the laundry basket after use. Please leave the sauna clean after use, for the next guests.
⚠️ Please plan your last sauna visit at least 1 hour before closing.
Both the fitness room and sauna include a shower and restroom.
A few rules (we promise, not many 🤩)
🚭 Smoking is strictly forbidden indoors throughout — this also applies to e-cigarettes and hookahs. Please be considerate in outdoor areas.
🤫 Quiet hours: please respect your neighbors and other guests, especially from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
🐾 Pets: allowed for a fee of 490 CZK/stay. No sleeping in the bed or on the sofa, not left alone in the apartment, and no "souvenirs" left around the property. Please note the owner is liable for any damage caused by the animal.
🔑 The code to your apartment is unique and created just for your stay. Please don't share it with anyone else.
💥 Damage: please report it to the operator as soon as possible by phone, by email at starlipno@salutemplaces.cz, or via the Alfred app — mistakes happen, problems get solved.
Storing sports equipment
Summer — bikes: A lockable bike room is available in the parking lot during the summer months, for securely storing bikes and other equipment.
Winter — skis and gear: A ski room is available on the first floor behind the elevator for storing skis during your stay. Entry uses the same code as your apartment.

Trip ideas — what to do at Lipno and the surrounding area 🥾
Treetop Walkway — Take the Lipno Express cable car to the top of Kramolín and walk the unique Lipno Treetop Walkway.
Rožmberk Castle — A beautiful castle dating back to the mid-13th century. Its last owners, the Buquoy family, turned it into a romantic museum with valuable collections of paintings, weapons, furniture, porcelain, and glass.
Plešné Lake — A trip to the glacial Plešné Lake along a comfortable paved path through wild nature. Along the way, you can admire the Schwarzenberg Canal, an aqueduct, and old-growth forest.
Bobsled track — A stainless-steel bobsled track with a beautiful view of the lake. A one-kilometer ride full of curves, terrain drops, and tunnels.
Aquaworld Lipno — A hot tub with a lake view, a Finnish sauna, a pool, a water slide, and the Hopsárium entertainment center for kids.
Bear Trail (Medvědí stezka) — The second-oldest nature trail in the Czech Republic, leading into the Šumava Protected Landscape Area. Walk through Šumava forests, rock formations, and past Jelení Lake. The trail starts at the Černý Kříž train station.
Boubín Primeval Forest — Trees up to 400 years old, 50-meter-tall spruces, and untouched primeval forest. On a clear day, you can even see the peaks of the Alps from the local lookout tower.
Lipno scenic boat cruise — Several times a day you can reach both ends of the dam; tickets are sold directly on the boats. Or rent your own boat and visit, for example, Rabbit Island.
Moldaublick Lookout Tower — A metal lookout tower on the Austrian side of Šumava with views of Smrčina, Černá v Pošumaví, Lipno, and Boubín.
Lake Trail (Jezerní stezka) — A relaxed 11.5 km route for biking or inline skating from Lipno nad Vltavou to Frymburk, with unforgettable lake views.
Olšina Nature Trail — A relaxed walk around the Olšina pond, an easy 7.3 km loop through wetlands and peat bogs.
Třístoličník — A mountain on the Czech-German border with a fantastic view on both sides. From here you can continue to the tripoint, Plechý peak, and Plešné Lake.
Czech RepuBRICK — A LEGO building exhibition in Lipno nad Vltavou. Impressive structures, some of which can even be set in motion with buttons.
Český Krumlov — Just 35 minutes by car from Lipno. A castle, gardens with river views, and picturesque streets.
Vítkův hrádek — The highest-situated castle ruin, with a fantastic view of Lipno and the surrounding mountains. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Alps.
Where to eat & shop 🛒
Restaurace Star Lipno — our own restaurant right on the property, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, or half-board (just ask the restaurant staff). Or just stop by for a coffee or a beer! Traditional and modern Czech and international cuisine. Open 8:00 AM–10:00 PM.
Restaurace Stodola — Hearty South Bohemian cuisine in a modern setting.
MOLO restaurant — Fine dining on the waves of Lake Lipno.
Kynutá Buchta bistro — A family-run bistro offering homemade cakes, pastries, specialty coffee, as well as regional and house-made products.
Restaurace Blue Lipno — A stylish non-smoking restaurant on the shore of Lipno, with a kids' corner and bowling.
COOP Supermarket — open 24/7.
Cukrárna Povidloň — daily 8:00 AM–7:00 PM. A confectionery with modern pastries inspired by Czech tradition.
Before you leave 🚍
We know nobody loves leaving. But a few things really help us out:
Please wash and put away your dishes. Take the trash out to the bins in front of the house. Close all the windows. Turn off the lights in every room. Check that you haven't forgotten your chargers, hats, and your desire to come back 💚
